The Qualifier Vaclav Safranek is the Opponent of Grigor Dimitrov at the Start of US Open

Grigor Dimitrov is seed No 7 of the main draw of the last Grand Slam tournament of the year in New York. On Tuesday Dimitrov will play world No 210 Vaclac Safranek from the Czech Republic, who entered the main draw after playing the qualifications. The potential second round opponents of the Bulgarian are Aljaz Bedene of Great Britain and Andrey Rublev of Russia. The first seeded player who Dimitrov could meet is No 31 Pablo Cuevas of Uguguay. Grigor Dimitrov is the first quarter of the draw which is lead by No 1 Rafael Nadal.

Last year Grigor Dimitrov reached the fourth round of US Open where he lost to then No 2 Andy Murray.
