Grigor Dimitrov will have a tough task at the start of US Open next week. In the opening round the Bulgarian will play worrld No 7 Gael Monfils of France. This will be Grigor's first US Open main draw participation. Last year he could pass the qualifications. In 2008 he won the title of the Junior tournament in Flushing Meadows.
The 24-years-old Gael Monfils is at No 7 of the ATP ranking which is his best place ever. His win-loss balance this year is 29 - 12. Monfils reached the final of the ATP tournament in Washington earlier this year.
The match is on Monday or Tuesday.
