Grigor Dimitrov Starts at the Qualifications of Australian Open Against the Italian Matteo Viola

Grigor Dimitrov could not gain the right for direct entry in the main draw of Australian Open. When the entry lists were announced Dimitrov was #4 alt, after 3 tennis players withdrawals Dimitrov moved to Alt #1. This way he needs to pass the qualifications to gain entry to the main draw of the first Grand Slam tournament of the year. Dimitrov is Seed 3 of the qualifications as he lost 2 position in the ATP ranking announced on 10 January and currently occupies place 108.
