In the second round of the 35K USD Challenger in Bangkok Grigor Dimitrov defeated the Australian Matthew Ebden 6-4 6-1 and advanced to the quarterfinals. This win is 12th in a row for Grigor. The 15 ranking points gained so far will cover the 8 points from the Challenger Trnava, Slovakia, that Grigor was to defend from last year.
In the quarterfinal Grigor Dimitrov will play the lucky loser of the qualifications Sebastian Rieschick of Germany. He replaced 77 rank and tournament Seed 2 Ovilier Rochus of Belgium (ex. No 24). The 24-years-old Rieschick lost to Grigor in the first round of the Marburg Challenger last June.
