In the third round of Winston-Salem Open Grigor Dimitrov lost to Alexandr Dolgopolov of Ukraine in three sets and tiebreak in the 3rd set 4-6 6-1 6-7(7) after 2 hours. Dimitrov will move from No 52 to No 57 in the next ATP ranking as the points earned from the current tournament are not enough to cover the points from the last year`s title from the ATP Challenger in Geneva.
Next week Grigor Dimitrov will play at US Open. His opponent will be known on Thursday when the main draw will be published. As Junior Grigor Dimitrov won the title at US Open in 2008. Last year he entered the qualification draw of the men's tournament but after losing in the second round he could not enter the main draw.
