Grigor Dimitrov defeated Vasek Pospisil of Canada 7-6(4) 7-6(5) and became the first player who advanced to the eighth finals of Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati. In the first set both players broke each other to reach 6-6. In the tie-break the Bulgarian secured his advantage with 7-4. The second set continued in the same tight way as none of the players succeeded to break, Dimitrov and Pospisil saved three break points each. In the decider Dimitrov reached to 7-5 and took the set and the match. In the third round on Thursday Grigor Dimitrov will play the winner of the match of Andy Murray and Mardy Fish.
