Grigor Dimitrov took a difficult win over the representative of Great Britain Morgan Phillips in the quarterfinal match of the 15'000 USD ITF Futures tournament in the Basque Province of Spain. The Bulgarian scored 7-6(6) 7-5 against the Seed 8 Phillips and advanced to the semifinals. This way he would add to his ATP ranking balance 8 points.
In the semifinal match Dimitrov will play the 23-years-old Frenchman Kenny de Schepper, current ATP rank 680. It will be the 3rd Futures semifinal of De Schepper this year. He has never played finals and has no won titles so far. The match is at 4 pm CET on Friday.
The other semifinal match is between Seed 1 and Seed 3 Sergio Gutierrez-Ferrol of Spain and Laurent Rochette of France.
