Grigor Dimitrov defeated ex No 5 Rainer Schuettler of Germany 6-0 6-2 in the first round of the ATP 250 tournament in Houston, Texas, USA. Dimitrov was better in all the components of the game in the first round and within only 20 minutes took the first set 6-0. In the second round Schuettler succeed to break to 2-1 but Dimitrov took convincingly all the next games to close the set 6-2 and win the match.
For reaching the second round Dimitrov added 20 ATP ranking points to his balance and gained $7'715 of the prize money.
On Wednesday in the second round Grigor will play the winner of the match between Teimuraz Gabashvili of Russia, No 77, and the qualifier Paul Capdeville of Chile, No 138.
